Our Girls
We have worked SO hard to cultivate our ideal program here at Lionheart Shepherds. Our girls are a vital part of this, and we have looked high and low for the perfect ladies to add to the Lionheart family. We have long coat and short coat females in our program, but structure and health come first. Years have been spent finding the colors and coat length we want with the health and structure that are required, and we are incredibly proud of all of our girls. Scroll below to see why!
Mira
Official name: Mira Vom Lenoxhaus
Mira is our absolutely sweet, gentle sable German Shepherd. She is a beautiful long coat black sable color, and I cannot get over how striking she is. Her deep red tones beneath black present the most striking effect. Her body and proportions are beautiful. She is 50% DDR, which means she comes from working AND show lines. This presents a beautiful, sweet, and even tempered personality. Not too much drive, incredibly loyal and affectionate. Mira weighs approximately 70 lbs, perfectly in the middle of the breed standard for a female. She will produce long coat or short coat depending on which male she is paired with.
Mira loves her people, and lives up to the name "velcro dog." She follows us constantly, and the only thing that makes her whine or bark is her desire to constantly be at our side. She makes a perfect companion, always sticking by us during the day, and sleeping at our feet during the evenings. Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves that she really is such an amazing personality in a working line Shepherd, with absolutely beautiful and unique coloring as well.
Mira was bred beginning of November, we are so hopeful for sweet pups from this loving girl!
Mira is the complete package of looks and personality that you want in a German Shepherd.
She has clear hips/elbows, and she is DM clear.

ARWEN
Official name: Lena Haselander
Arwen is a beautiful long coat Shepherd. We say this about all our dogs - but this girl is truly gorgeous! Her long coat gives her the look of a lion, and her mane only adds to the impression. She has a deep red and black coat, and a nice big head. Besides her looks, she is the sweetest girl! As fierce as she looks, underneath her stance is a little sweetheart who just wants to soak up all the love and pats we can give her. She would bark if an intruder came in, but one minute later would be asking to be pet. Not the best guard dog, but a wonderful family pet! Arwen has lots of energy as well. She loves the ball and running around outside. We love what she adds to our program, and we can't wait to see her pups grow up!

Bella is a fantastic all-around German Shepherd dog. With her loving nature, strong instincts, and intense loyalty to those she loves, she will be glued to your side till death due you part.
Bella is one of our European Imports, and comes from fantastic lines all around. We are so proud to have this fantastic girl on our program!
Bella is a sweet and gentle soul. You will look down and see that she has quietly followed you out of the room, and her head is now resting on your leg. We love how docile and sweet she is!

Willow
Official name: Waka Waka vom Haus Tchorz
Willow is an incredible black and red German Shepherd who is an absolute star in the show ring. Her head and body are absolute perfection and her coat is beautifully saturated (have we mentioned how much we love red pigment in our shepherds?) and she is a favorite of judges over in Europe. She weighs around 68 pounds. Apart from her beautiful looks, Willow has a wonderful obedient disposition and has proved this by having received her IPO1 certification which means she has passed a rigorous test in obedience, submission, strong and steady nerves, focus, and devotion to people. If you are looking for an absolute classic German Shepherd, the way they were bred to be, in both looks and temperament, we would highly recommend a Willow pup. These pups would be excellent candidates for sport and service dogs, and would also make fantastic family companions.

Sasha
Official name: Uffie com Haus Kathleen
Sasha is an amazing import from Poland. We love her stellar pedigree, and health testing, as well as her beauty. She is a medium sized classic looking shepherd, with a nice wide muzzle and beautiful head and expression, as well as her body, which is not extreme, sloped or roach backed, but rather perfectly put together and nice and straight. However, most of all we love Sasha’s adoring personality and live toward everyone she meets. She’s an absolute doll who comes up for hugs from us every time she sees us. She truly is such a sweetheart, and as obedient and kind as can be with all that we ask of her. We are so thrilled to have Sasha in our program, because of all her admirable qualities, looks, health, personality. We believe Sasha has it all.
Forest
Official name: KENIA Forest Guards
Forest is such an incredibly beautiful and special girl, as you can see by her photos. She is a classic long coat German Shepherd, and she is a real head turner everywhere she goes. She is already a fairly big girl weighing around 80 pounds, and with her incredible long coat, she appears even bigger than that. But though she may look intimidating for those who don’t know her, the instant you meet her you will discover what gentle sweetheart she is, who just loves everyone she meets. If you are looking for a long coat German Shepherd puppy with a wonderful temperament, with a full coat and deep red markings, Forest’s puppies may be exactly what you are looking for.

Phoenix
Official name: Uxa Luberland
Please meet Miss Phoenix, our long coat beauty.
Phoenix is a favorite with everyone, including our vet! Often shepherds are a bit leery of strangers, such as vets, poking and prodding them, and occasionally causing them a bit of (necessary) pain. Not so with Phoenix, who greets our vet with a friendly tail wag and hug, and roll on her belly when asked to do so, receiving many more pats. Upon meeting her, our vet remarked, “She’s so big and furry, just like a Wookie!” We thought this was the perfect description of Phoenix, especially because we are such fans of Star Wars, and Chewy! Like the famous Chewbacca, Phoenix is loving and loyal, and gentle as she can be. She is a big girl and deserves the nickname “Gentle Giant.” One of our favorite things about Phoenix is how much black is on her coat, and her mainly black head and face. This gives her a fierce “don’t mess with me” look, that is of course in contrast to her kind personality. Phoenix has had her hips and elbows certified in Europe, and, impressive for a long coat, and DOUBLY impressive for a female, her prestigious IPO 1 title, a precise and difficult behavior and obedience test. Phoenix has a nice straight back, like all our dogs, we do not like the overdone sloped back of many American bred shepherds. We don’t like to pick favorites…..but if we did, Phoenix is a definite candidate with all who know her.

Malibu
Official name: Malibu vom Haus Tchorz
Malibu, or Mali, as we call her, is a stunning short coat German Shepherd. She has absolutely beautiful markings and a deep red pigment. One of her most defining features is her nice, wide muzzle, which gives her face and expression the perfect Shepherd look. Her back is straight and she is perfectly proportioned. Her coat is soft and plush. Malibu weighs around 75 pounds. She has a wonderful, even temperament and disposition and gets along with all people and other dogs. She is absolutely one of the sweetest, most patient and kind dogs we own.
Mali is the daughter of Cyrus vom Osterberger-Land, VA4 BSZS and granddaughter of two time world champion Remo vom Fichtenschlag, 2x VA1 SCHH3, IPO3. With such fantastic parentage and lineage you can just imagine the puppies Malibu is going to produce! Mali herself has her IPO1 title. This means she has passed rigorous obedience and behavior tests, which prove her balanced temperament and will be passed on to her offspring. We just love our beautiful and patient girl Mali, and are so excited to watch her puppies grow!

Ina
Official name: Ina Eris Hof
Our beautiful long coat German Shepherd Ina is as gentle and kind as she is impressive looking. She is a perfectly put together German Shepherd, with ease of movement and beautiful temperament. Her structure is excellent and with her full long coat and mane, she appears even bigger than her 80 pounds. Ina has a world class pedigree, having descended from some of the top lines in the world. This means her lines have been health and temperament tested for generations, and explains why she is just such an incredibly gorgeous girl. She also has a great personality. Although she seems fierce and strong on the outside, she is sweet as a lamb on the inside. She loves being around people, hanging around the house, and loves to play at every opportunity! Hips have been cleared via X-ray!

Pepper
Official name: Diana Stribrné Doly
Retired
Pepper is the one who started it all. This girl truly encompasses everything good in a German Shepherd- she's beautiful, with a thick muzzle and gorgeous coloring. She is faithful and loyal and follows the kids in our house around, like, well, a dog. Pepper's loyalty is amazing, the way she never leaves the side of those in our family, and how she seems to think that it's her job to stay glued to each one of the kids and make sure everything is fine.
Pepper almost never barks, and we have never heard her growl. She completely ignores strangers, other dogs, and horses. She is unfazed by loud noises (including heavy machinery), and car rides are a piece of cake. She would do better off the leash than on it (though our leash laws do not allow it) since getting her to voluntarily leave our side for even a minute is next to impossible. She accepts petting and attention from people she is unfamiliar with, but then quickly moves back to us. At the same time, we've had the mailman, UPS guy, and other visitors to the house who do not know Pepper, and her presence is enough that they stay in their trucks until we come outside and tell them "It's fine. No need to be scared of the dog." You never know just who some people are, and the sight of Pepper has proven very intimidating.
Pepper has been titled ZVV1, BH, IPO 1, IPO2 in the Czech Republic (the country she was born in). This means she has proven to have an ideal temperament, obedience, attentiveness, and (should it come down to it) could protect us as well. This also means that her progeny would have a similar temperament, should you wish to pursue any of these fields with one of her puppies. As a family dog, the main values her titles illustrate to us are that she is steady, obedient, and trustworthy around children and those that she encounters. Combining this with having clean tests for hip and elbow dysplasia (as well as those of her parents and grandparents. Just look at her pedigree.), combined with her stunning looks, her titles and her amazing temperament, Pepper truly is the ideal German Shepherd.
Titles: ZVV1, IPO1 and IPO2 (obedience and protection) and BH (companion dog and temperament)
